We offer the following help to those in need!
Helping vulnerable Essex (Rochford/ South end) residents through the COVID-19. If you are staying at home and don’t have the support of family and neighbours, elderly and more vulnerable people who can not go out, you are a single mother or a young person who suffer from depression and cannot go out due to fear of Covid19. You are the reason why we are here.
Praise Christian Centre international-South end- The Hub is a local church with a group of volunteers who are offering services and can help you with: accessing food: food shopping and deliveries accessing medicine: collecting and delivering prescriptions from a pharmacy or supermarket.
We also offer:
befriending / social well being: having a friendly chat over the phone, and providing updates on what is going on in your local area regarding COVID-19
is offering support to South end residents in response to COVID-19:
We are helping by sourcing for food parcels and delivering them to families and more vulnerable people in our community. During lock down, we believe no one should do life and walk alone. We are here to check on you through phone calls and zoom group charts. We do dance sessions for women to keep our minds stimulated and positive. We do our weekly “Little Heirs" zoom support group with their trained teachers telling stories that stimulate their minds, art and craft activities. We go on Facebook page every Sunday for fellowship sharing a word of hope and encouragement to our community and beyond. On some weekdays men have their day speaking to men on zoom encouraging each other as a way to address and tackle domestic violence in homes. We have a single mum's group that also meet via zoom to encourage and support each other during the covid 19 with children at home. We have a Youth Group who also have their sessions via zoom to learn new skills on playing different kinds of instruments. We are looking into buying more equipment and more musical Instruments to enable to encourage and teach more young people to learn to play various instruments either via zoom or by social distancing which will be observed by keeping 2 m apart in an appropriate setting.
